General Information

We aim to produce three plays a season – usually in November, February and April / May and try to create a balanced season by performing a mix of comedies, farces, thrillers and serious plays. This not only gives our audiences variety in their theatre-going programme but also gives the company a wider scope for the various acting talents of the members and presents different challenges for the backstage crew.

 

Theatre Details

Our home is the 280 seater William Penney Theatre, part of the Aldermaston Recreational Society complex in Tadley. The entrance can be found on the A340 Basingstoke to Newbury road, just before the Heath End Roundabout at Tadley. We offer pre and interval drinks from the Recreational Society bar or coffee and tea.
Please Note: An infrared hearing loop has recently been installed in the theatre for the benefit of hearing aid users. The sound system conforms to BS6083 pt4 & BS7594, more information about infra red sound systems can be obtained from RNID.

 

Disabled Access

We welcome disabled people and can cater for 2 wheelchairs per performance at the front of the auditorium. Access to the auditorium can be obtained via side entrance ramps by advising the Box Office of the requirement at the time of booking. There is also a disabled toilet available.
Access to the bar and coffee room is restricted. However, if you require refreshments during the interval please speak to the Front of House Manager. Coffee can be brought to your seat.

 

Parking

There is free parking adjacent to the theatre.

Ticket Prices: Prices for the 2011/12 season are:
£7 (Concession £5)
Season tickets to cover all three plays can be purchased at the beginning of the season.
Special Offer
Tuesday Evening all tickets £5.

 

By Phone

Ticket sales commence two weeks prior to the first night of each production. Tickets can be reserved by telephoning 0794 7295826 (voicemail available). When reserving tickets on the voicemail system please provide details of your name, the performance night and the number of tickets required.
Tickets will be held in the Box Office for collection on the night of the performance.

 

Concessions

Concessions apply to Senior Citizens, Under 16's, Students and the unemployed. If you are unsure as to whether you are eligible please speak to the Business Manager on 0118 - 9819722.

 

Group Bookings

Group rates are available for any evening except Tuesday. One seat in ten free.

Ticket Exchange

If you are unable to attend a performance, we will exchange your tickets for another performance. Tickets will only be refunded in exceptional circumstances.
