Rugby

Aldermaston Rugby Club has its own Clubhouse which is a standalone facility just to the right of the Rec Soc main entrance where visitors and spectators are welcome every Saturday during the season, we are a warm and friendly club with doors open to anyone who wishes to join us on or off the field.

We currently run Senior Men's Rugby (age 17+), with teams in Counties 2 Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire South League (RFU Level 8) and Thames Valley Invitational League.  These teams are supported by Qualified therapists on match days and on training nights for injury prevention and management.

The club junior section runs youth/mini/Didi Rugby groups for all from 18 months to 16 years.

Didi Rugby (18months to 6 year of age, any gender) is Saturday morning 09.00 to 11.00 (age specific groups are run).  Youth / Mini Rugby (6-16 years of age, any gender) is Sunday morning 10.00 -11.30

Children must be 6 years old before they are able to play in any tournament or club game, we do accept children younger for training sessions however please be mindful they will not be allowed to play games.

As with all sections you do have to be a member of the Recreational Society to join and this can be coordinated through the rugby club.

The Rugby season runs from August to May with an annual dinner dance at the end of the season held in the Rec. Soc.

Club training nights are Tuesday and Thursday 7.00pm - 9pm, pre-season starts in July each year will run through then until the end of the playing season (Mar/Apr) when the season ends we still continue playing touch at the rec soc fields.

Regular social events are held for players and/or supporters and full members can participate in the club draw for International Tickets.
All our coaches are suitably qualified and are DBS checked.

Interested players and supporters are welcome to just turn up on club nights.
